Physical Therapy Treatments

Massage

Our therapeutic massage techniques help reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. Treatments may include Swedish massage, cross-friction massage, acupressure, lymphatic drainage, Shiatsu, and myofascial release (MFR), depending on your individual needs and goals.

Soft Tissue Mobilization

Soft tissue mobilization is a hands-on treatment designed to restore flexibility, decrease pain, and improve movement by addressing muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. Techniques may include contract-relax, strain-counterstrain, myofascial release, stretching, and neuromuscular mobilization.

Joint Mobilization

Joint mobilization uses gentle, controlled movements to improve joint motion, reduce stiffness, and relieve pain. Our therapists incorporate evidence-based techniques influenced by European, Australian, and North American manual therapy approaches to help restore normal joint function.

Exercise Perscription/Progression

Home and clinical exercise programs are based on a functional and dynamic approach, which have immediate carry over to your sports and activities of daily living. For our professional and high-level athletes, we provide full gym access within their rehabilitation.

Education

Patient education is an essential part of recovery. We help you understand your condition, identify risk factors, improve posture and body mechanics, and learn strategies to prevent future injuries so you can stay active long after therapy ends.

Orthotics

Custom orthotics are designed to improve foot alignment, provide support, and reduce stress on the muscles and joints. Whether you need relief from chronic foot pain or additional support for work, exercise, or sports, properly fitted orthotics can improve comfort and function.

Modalities

Thermal Ultrasound – Continuous sound waves absorbed by the body that can reduce or control pain & muscle spasms and increase circulation and soft tissue flexibility

Non-Thermal Ultrasound – Pulsed sound waves absorbed by the body to accelerate tissue healing and promote the reduction of tissue inflammation

Phonophoresis – Localized delivery of medication into the body through the skin by using ultrasound

Interferential Electric Stimulation – Two independent channels of electrical current crossing each other to ease deep tissue pain

Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation (TENS) – Mild electrical current in low frequencies applied to relieve stiffness and pain.

Neuromuscular Electric Stimulation/Russian Stimulation – Medium to high electric currents used to activate specific muscle groups.

Iontophoresis – Localized delivery of medication into the body through the skin by using electric current

Moist Heat – Increases blood flow, soft tissue flexibility, and tissue length, relaxes muscles, and decreases joint stiffness

Paraffin – Used for heating distal extremities and irregular surfaces

Ice – Controls inflammation, pain, & edema and reduces muscle spasms

Ice Massage – Direct localized application of ice to the skin for 8-10 minutes to decrease pain and inflammation
